In this post, I will show you how to download directly macOS Monterey on your Mac. macOS Monterey is the 18th major release of Apple’s biggest operating system for Macintosh computers. After having a bunch of experiments on macOS Big Sur features. Like if you tested out macOS Big Sur for the first time Apple launched the Sidecar features on macOS Catalina, and in macOS Big Sur launched Control Center. Finally, in macOS Monterey, this feature is being upgraded to the latest one with a different name called Universal Control.

Steps to Download macOS Monterey
For installing the macOS Monterey directly from the BetaProfile website, you need to download the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility. This will be done in the below-down description step by step. So, the Assistant package will allow you to download macOS Monterey’s latest version which will available in the App Store.
Step 1. For downloading macOS Monterey navigate to your Mac machine, then click on Safari web browser. When the Safari opened on the search bar type “BetaProfile” and press enter. When the Apple BetaProfile website opened scroll down and find out the macOS Beta Profile, then click on the Install Profile icon.
Step 2. After clicking on Install Profile the below-down notification will appear, then click on Allow option to start downloading the profile.
Step 3. Once the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility downloaded click, on the file to open the file directory. Double-click on the macOS Developer Beta Access Utility, to launch the installation.
Step 4. When the installation pops up on the introduction window click continue.
Step 5. On the License, window click continue.
Step 6. Agree with the terms and conditions.
Step 7. In the installation type window again click continue.
Step 8. When this window pops up type your password and click on the Install Software option.
Step 9. Once the installation completed click on Close.
Step 10. Once you closed the window the Update window will automatically pop up, then wait until it should search for the macOS Monterey update.
Step 11. After the update searched the below down window will appear with macOS 12 Beta name. So, click on the download button to start downloading the macOS Monterey update.
Step 12. As you can see in the below down screenshot it starts downloading the macOS Monterey 12. However, the macOS Monterey file size is around 12GB, so it may take time to download. When the file completely downloaded complete the installation to proceed.

However, macOS 12 is available in the Beta version, then you have to upgrade your local Mac because of its security reasons. So, the Public Beta version will be available soon in the next month, on the other hand, the Final version as every time soon it will be available till the end of the year.
