1. Install Wordfence Security

Google finalized an application for the users to improve there security performance for there website. Now the Google Authenticator application is available on the App Store of your mobile. After downloading it on your mobile you can improve this security for your WordPress website. So, check below for better instruction.

Step 1. To enable the two-factor authentication on for your WordPress website. Login to your website dashboard. When you get there click on Plugins>Add New.

Step 2. When the other page appeared, navigate to search bar and type there “Wordfence” and press enter. Once the Wordfence searched click “Install Now”.

Step 3. When the Wordfence successfully installed click “Activate”.

Step 4. Once the Wordfence plugin activated on your website. In the dashboard left-handed menu bar click on Wordfence and select the “Login Security” option.

Step 5. When the login security window opened there you will see a barcode. Therefore, you need to connect the two-factor authentication with Google Authenticator which you installed on your mobile device. To do that, click on “Scan a Barcode” then scan the barcode of two-factor authentication of Wordfence. After that, the scan successfully has done you will see the “6 digits number” enter that in the Wordfence code place and finally click “Activate”.

Step 6. When the two-factor authentication activated the “Download recover codes” appear. So, click on the Download option.

2. Install Google Authenticator on your mobile

When the Wordfence installed on your WordPress website. After that, you need to install the Google Authenticator application for your mobile. Also, the Google Authenticator is available for both versions of mobile iPhone, & Android.

Step 1. Open up your mobile for Google Authenticator installation. And navigate to App Store, click the search bar and type there Google Authenticator then press enter. Once it appeared, click on the “Install” option.

Step 3. After you turn on two-step verification for your Google account (or other accounts), you will need to provide the digits code. However, to start the Google Authenticator click on Begin.

Step 4. Whenever you sign in to Google, you will enter your username and password. But when you activate the two-factor authenticator, without the codes you will not able to go ahead into your account. Simply click on skip option to go ahead.

Step 5. When everything performed log-out your website. Enter your username and password, then check it the two-factor authentication is working or not?. If that is working so open Google authenticator on your mobile device. Automatically the app will generate a code, enter the code in the “2FA” place then hit enter.
